Problem Statement

There is a trend in landscape architecture of curved, wandering, and circular walking paths that require seating. Landscape architects had a hard time finding curved benches that would fit the needs of their projects and budgets. There was a market gap for an American made large format wooden topped curved and linear seating system.

Aggie Village at Colorado State University

The Infinity bench system started as a custom project for a housing complex at CSU. They needed five massive four foot wide benches. One curved bench with a 75 foot arc length and four Linear benches ranging between 13 and 39 feet long. The supports were made in house using turret punched parts and the horizontal under-support was made from outsourced laser tube parts. The whole under structure was hot-dipped galvanized and the planks were laminated bamboo treated with stair and sealer.
